The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will open a new regional office in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
The decision was announced by Dharmendra Pradhan, India's Minister of Education, Skill Development, and Entrepreneurship, during a visit to the Consulate of India in Dubai on November 2, 2023.
The new office will help to streamline operations and enhance the teaching-learning experience for students and teachers in CBSE schools in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries.
Pradhan also interacted with the local Indian community, including educationists and school heads across the UAE.
He praised the Indian education system and its global reach and congratulated CBSE and the Indian schools in the UAE for their achievements.
He also motivated the principals to come up with proposals further to strengthen the Indian educational ecosystem in the UAE.
Pradhan urged the school leaders to dedicate themselves to the future of the upcoming generation from the Bal Vatika level, as envisaged in the National Education Policy 2020.
